Abby - Yellow Fork Canyon, Herriman, Utah

I remember my senior portraits....my mom tried to make me a special outfit for my photo shoot - but despite her best efforts, we ended up going to the clothing store instead. I braided my hair the night before, but didn't wash it, so it looked really greasy the day of and we had to put baking soda on it to tone down the shine....but most importantly, I had to have my horse. He was the most important thing to me and the most iconic part of my middle and high school years. Riding got me through a lot of difficult years and helped me find my confidence.

So naturally, when this young lady wanted to have her horse in her photos, I couldn't help but be excited for this shoot! I wish we would have had more time to shoot, but with the days getting shorter, we had to work with the little bit of light that we had...and ended up having to pull out the flash and do a few unique shots just for fun!

I hope, Abby, that you are as thrilled with this shoot as I was when I was your age! (But maybe with fewer mishaps leading up to it ? HA! )
