The Marshall Family - Liberty Park, Utah
Every photo shoot brings it's own unique-ness. Especially when you have kids involved...which is most often the case with family photography. Sometimes the kids loooooove the camera. They can't get enough of it. Sometimes they're just embarrassed that it's there. And every once in a while, you have that kid who would rather curl up in a ball and die than be photographed. Now, as a family photographer, I've gotten pretty good at getting kids to come out of their shell. I've go

The Moffat Family - Creekside Park, Bountiful, Utah
It's such a wonderful thing to see a woman's beauty reflected in her children. I got to spend a lovely evening with this sweet family - and it was such a joy! Great weather, great people, and a sweet car! Thanks to their family friend bringing over his 1937 Studebaker - ahh! So much fun. Thank you, guys, for such a fun night! #saltlakecityphotographer #saltlakecity #bountiful #familyphotos #outdoorfamilyphotography #familyphotographer #familyphotography #fall2018 #fallphotogr

The Tonkin-Nemeth Family - Millcreek, Utah
Oh my goodness. I had such a blast chasing this little firecracker around! I always love meeting families in parks or out in nature, but it's even more fun when I get to join a family in their own home and their own backyard! I feel like those images carry so much more nostalgia when you get to look back - remembering the kids playing on the playset or jumping in puddles. It's just so beautiful! Thank you for having me to your home and treating me like family for an evening!

Abby - Yellow Fork Canyon, Herriman, Utah
I remember my senior portraits....my mom tried to make me a special outfit for my photo shoot - but despite her best efforts, we ended up going to the clothing store instead. I braided my hair the night before, but didn't wash it, so it looked really greasy the day of and we had to put baking soda on it to tone down the shine....but most importantly, I had to have my horse. He was the most important thing to me and the most iconic part of my middle and high school years. Ridi

Monroe - She's 3 Months old! - Liberty Park, Salt Lake City, Utah
Wow, I can't believe how time flies. I love doing a series of pictures for clients -whether that be annually or every few months, like this. Just to see how families grow and change is such a blast! It seems like it was just yesterday that this little gal came out 5 weeks earlier than she was supposed to. And now, here she is! A squishy, squirmy smiley little pudge! I love it! I can't wait to see how much you grow again in a few months , Monroe! #utahphotography #downtownsalt

The Kirby Families - Holladay, Utah
I love doing shoots for GIANT families like this. To think of the impact that two people can have on the world - it's astonishing. Just seeing three generations together is absolutely wonderful. I asked Mrs. Kirby how long they had been married and when she told me 43 years, I was just ecstatic. I love that! More than four DECADES together! That's a full decade longer than I have been alive! I can only hope and pray that my husband and I will be blessed with as many years , a

The Gardner Family - Temple Quarry Trail, Cottonwood Heights, Utah
It's amazing to me how quickly time flies. I took this awesome family's pictures four years ago when I was just getting back into photography after moving to Salt Lake. And now, I could hardly recognize them! It always encouraging to see siblings who get along so well (at least in public ;) ) and parents who can still laugh and have fun. Each family I work with is so unique and different, it's always a joy to spend time with them! Thank you for letting me be a part of your fa

The Lim Family - Olympus Hills Park, Holladay, Utah
With the colors turning, it's been a really busy few weeks over here! But I loved getting out on a day that threatened rain all weekend, but gave us a reprieve so that we could do this shoot! Woo hoo! October can be such a finicky month out here in Utah - 7 years ago when I married my husband, it was 80 degrees on October 15th. The following year I'm pretty sure we got snow. You just never know! But this year has been different - color in the mountains, but down in the valley

The Thompson Family - Neff's Canyon, Utah
On one of the last warm mornings as of late, we got out early and enjoyed a warm breeze in Neff's Canyon! And these colors, wow! So beautiful! It's hard to believe fall is here already - it seems like the year just started! And I'm sure for these parents of this busy little guy feel the same way! Time flies when you're having fun! So much fun chasing an 18 month old little fiery red-head around! Boy, he's got some go! And so many great Mom and Son shots - if only I had pictur

The Laborda Family - Temple Quarry Trail, Salt Lake City, Utah
There is going to come a day, I swear, where my husband won't let me do photography anymore because I make too many friends. This shoot was no exception! I love getting new clients, well, because what business owner doesn't like new clients? But mostly because I just love meeting new people! This family was so fun and full of energy - what a great afternoon! Engaging with their fabulous kiddos and getting to know them was the highlight of my day! Thank you guys for inviting m
